And now Michael went and deleted stuff from the Week II thread. If he keeps at this, I may need to take some action against him.

Okay, so only the 2 of us can Edit or Delete messages on here now. Hopefully now the game will run more smoothly and more enjoyably.

Oh wow, I never expected him to go and delete messages from Week II in addition to his confessionals. I'm glad that you were able to change the settings so no one can edit anymore. I'm sure it'll run smoother now.

Not yet, I'm just about done. I will post it here though. Should I focus on linking movies that have characters in the game or just any movies?

You can probably do better if you just link any movie or game.

Welcome, Survivors! Let's come on and set down those bags with supplies. For this challenge, you will be working with movie actors and movies, because you will be playing "DEGREES". Now, this game is popularly known and referred to as "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon), however, we won't be using Kevin Bacon in this challenge, or at least not directly.

This challenge will operate in rounds, in which one player will be eliminated per round. If someone does NOT submit then they will be eliminated and everyone who did submit will advance. If you're the slowest to submit and everyone who was still in the competition submitted, you WILL be eliminated.

Now, let's get down to the meat of the competition, which is what you'll be doing. Each round, I will be posting two seemingly unrelated movies (such as Beauty and the Beast (1991) [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101414/] and Mars Attacks (1996) [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116996/]) and it will be your job to link these two together, through characters that played/voiced characters/directed/or anything else in these TWO movies, along with the movies you'll be connecting them through. Now, we'll get down to the actual rules.

Rules:
1) Each round, you will be linking the TWO movies that I POST at the START of the round together that seem to have nothing in common.
2) You will do it in the following format:
[Actor/Director/Actress1](of your choosing) was in [MOVIE1 that I post] with [Actor/Director/Actress2](who also starred in MOVIE1)

[Actor/Director/Actress2] was in [MOVIE2 that YOU choose from random)] with [Actor/Director/Actress3](who also starred in MOVIE2)

REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT..., until...

[Actor/Director/Actress#](was in [2nd MOVIE that I posted]).
3) You will NOT be able to reuse the same movie in the SAME round. In separate rounds, that's fine (you can even use chains from your other rounds, but you CANNOT reuse a movie in the same round)
4) You can only use ACTORS, ACTRESSES, and DIRECTORS to link movies to one another, no producers. You can also only use an actor, actress, or director once per round.
5) Please post your answers in the format described in 2)
6) There is no TIME limit in rounds but if you're the slowest, you will be eliminated.
7) Post your ANSWERS on this thread.


Now that I've outlined the rules, I will take questions. Also, in the ten minutes before the official round starts, I use this time as a tester round.

Take this time to get the format right, try something, and I will check your submissions. If you feel you have the format down, please post saying "I'm not doing the TESTER Round, I understand the format without the practice."

Alright, I'll probably read this after the Immunity Challenge since I'm going to be busy with that, but I have Word open, so I'll post how I would write it when I do get on it.

Alright, that's fine by me. I also need to add something in there about not just straight copying someone else's connection between the movies. They can have similar movies, but can't be identical.

Alright. The tallying was a killer. If it weren't for a calculator, I would've been doing it for the next week. lol

I can imagine, it looked horrible, especially Bella's, lol. I'm impressed at how quickly you got it done.

That's because I copied and pasted onto Word, and counted how many lines were in 1 page, and then used the calculator from there. lol

Okay, so I finished reading. There wasn't a whole lot I would change about the wording, and, if it was I as a player reading this, I would probably be able to understand this if the rules were posted 15 minutes before the Tester.

If you are caught straight up copying someone else’s connections between the movies, you can tonight’s Immunity goodbye. The links can be similar, though.

Cool! I'm glad that you approve of it and I like the line you added in about copying someone else's connection, lol. I'm going to have the challenge at 9:00. I'll post the steps at 8:45 PM Eastern, take questions, and then start the round. Does that sound good?

On a side note, I also have to pick up my pre-order of Kingdom Hearts 3D tomorrow because that's when it comes out, which is why I chose "Sora" for this game. lol Regardless, I'll be watching the challenge, but other than that and Tribal, I'll be busy with that game.

Alright, cool. I'm also going to probably add in a 10 minute round limit. Even though I didn't put it on at first, I got to thinking that that could open the door for a real lengthy challenge if two people don't show up or submit. And, very cool! I definitely know the feeling about playing a new game as soon as it comes out and you can pick it up. Let me know how it is!

That is true. I am watching the challenge and at least it isn't the capitol city of Chaosville.

Yup, very true, lol. I tried to accommodate everyone. I stuck to the rules, pointed out the issues, extended the time, and hopefully we'll have them decking it out in proper form, lol.

And, I'm just thinking of movies that I've seen recently or that I enjoy watching and placing those in the challenge. Do you have a pairings of movies that you want me to try for the challenge?

Try Casablanca and The Shawshank Redemption.
